Sisters, Claudette Buehler and Delene Budd proudly announce the official return of Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls. The wonderfully precocious expression of the vintage storybook doll has been recaptured by renowned doll artist, Dianna Effner. And in storybook style, designer, Londie Phillips, creates costumes using the finest fabrics and trims. Special attention has been given to every detail, right down to the gold foil wrist band!
fter great thought and consideration, it was decided that our new storybook doll would not be created as a "reproduction," but would be designed as a new doll with traits from the original storybook collection.
Fashioned from the original dolls, but with greater detail, she is of fine porcelain and fully jointed. Her head is also jointed and has the ability to be posed, thus adding to her personality. Her hair is of authentic mohair (set in her original style) and her features are hand painted.
In keeping with the quality costumes of the past, all of the fabrics and trims are hand selected by our costume designer to ensure the highest quality. These selections are then shipped to the manufacturer. Costumes designs are highly detailed using a variety of textures and giving great consideration to size proportion--prints and trims. In addition, no elastic materials are used in order to help preserve our designs for years to come.
All dolls are produced as limited editions. Storybook dolls are collectibles and are not intended for play.
