Annette Himstedt Dolls

Certainly one of the "Top Ten" doll artists of the era! Many Himstedt collectors consider her works more of an art form than a "doll." Annette has told me that she often takes photographs of children she sees, and encompasses features from various children in her creation of each doll!

Annette does her sculpting at her home in Germany. The quality of her vinyl dolls as well as her porcelain dolls, is superb. They are never mistaken for anything but the Himstedt name! The fabrics are always chosen specifically for each doll's personality, and shoes are usually leather, or in the case of the porcelain dolls, sculpted porcelain!
