Maggie grew up in Hopkins, MN. She graduated with a degree in elementary education from State University of New York, Fedonia and took a teaching job in Australia where she met her husband Tony, another American teacher; married him in 1976. She began doll making in 1980 and has won Doll Reader Magazine's DOTY award, Dolls Magazine's Dolls Award of Excellence and her dolls are exhibited in many galleries and museums, including the Louvre in Paris. She was elected to the NAIDA - National Institute of American Doll Artists - in 1993 Maggie, Tony and their three daughters live outside of Philadelphia, PA. Tony is an integral part of the business working side-by-side with Maggie.
